What do women in the Bible have in common with you and me? We all have a story to tell. In my book Women of the Word: Finding Yourself in the Scriptures, I share just how relatable the women of the bible really are.
In the book Women of the Word: Finding Yourself in the Scriptures, we will focus on a few ordinary—and not so ordinary—women that made an impact during biblical times and made their mark in history. Their powerful stories are extraordinary examples of triumph, victory, and accomplishment that demonstrate God’s power and miracles performed in the most extreme situations.
God loves us despite who we are and what we have gone through. Our circumstances don’t make us who we are; it’s our faith and belief in Him that determines how our story will unfold. These stories are a reminder of that.
Rahab was a prostitute who ran an inn on the city wall. God used her to save a nation, and she later became an ancestor of Jesus Christ. Jael was a housewife who was at the right place at the right time. She single-handedly killed an army general and ended war against God’s people. Eunice married a man of another race, then became a single mother. She raised her son to have strong faith and devotion to God. Her son now has two books of the Bible named after him.
This book explores the lives of remarkable women from the bible and their unforgettable stories. Throughout the pages, we read of God’s grace and mercy working in each one of their lives. Through the scriptures, we can see that many of them are just like us. Just as God saved, healed, and blessed the women of the Bible, He wants to do the same in the lives of each one of us. As you read these stories, be encouraged that there is nothing too hard for God. There is nothing too small or too big that He cannot handle. He can fix your unique situation and bring you out on top, just as He did for many women in this book.
Written by Victoria Tiffany for women of all ages, Women of the Word: Finding Yourself in the Scriptures, is an interactive storybook that shows women they are not alone in the fight.
